When you’re looking for unadulterated power, an elegant interior, and plenty of cargo space, the all-new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is what you’re looking for. With a 754 horsepower powertrain to handle any towing and hauling you need, the Silverado EV is just as much of a workhorse as its gasoline- and diesel-powered siblings.
If seeing is believing – and it is – you have to see the Silverado EV for yourself at TERA Chevrolet in Sandwich, IL.
The 2024 Silverado EV's base model WT will remind you of the Silverado 1500’s WT trim. Utilitarian and made for the job site, this truck is straightforward: It handles its business and then can handle even more. Want a touch of luxury? Check out the RST First Edition. While both of these trims use high-end materials and incredible craftsmanship, the RST First Edition offers leather upholstery throughout and heated, ventilated front seats that are power-adjustable, among other options. All Silverado EV versions come with Crew Cab as the standard layout, meaning that it can seat up to six passengers.
The 2024 Silverado EV is assertive-looking, and it’ll remind some buyers of an updated – almost futuristic – Chevy Avalanche. However, it comes with a 5-foot-11-inch bed, providing ample cargo space for various hauling needs. Additionally, it comes equipped with a front trunk, which adds an extra 10.7 cubic feet of storage space.
The Silverado EV comes in five different colors:
The 2024 Silverado EV uses the same underlying platform as the HUMMER EV pickup, with the biggest difference being the Silverado EV uses two motors instead of three. The base powertrain offers an enormous 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. Upgrade the engine to a 754-horsepower monster that produces 785 lb-ft of torque, and you’ve got a real beast on your hands. The Silverado EV can tow up to 10,000 pounds when properly equipped and go from 0 to 60 in under 4.5 seconds.
The RST First Edition version offers a launch control system with improved acceleration. Whichever model you choose, the Silverado EV comes standard with all-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive is optional with adaptive air suspension.
The 2024 Silverado EV uses a 200kWh battery that gives drivers an estimated range of 450 miles on a single charge. It’s important to remember, though, that towing heavy loads can result in a decrease in driving range. That’s to be expected with any EV on the market, though.
It’s easy to charge the Silverado EV with the charging port that’s located behind the driver’s rear wheel. This charging port lets you charge the Silverado EV with a 240-volt household-style power outlet, a Level 3 DC fast-charging station, or a Level 2 home charging station. Fast charging delivers a 100-mile range boost in about 10 minutes, while a Level 2 charger gives a full charge in about 20 hours.
At TERA Chevrolet, we’re excited to show you just what the Silverado EV can do. You’re going to be just as impressed as we are, so come on down and slide behind the wheel for a test drive.
And if you’re not ready to make the quantum leap forward into the EV market, we know you’ll love the ever-popular Silverado 1500. We look forward to seeing you soon!
